Spring Break Swimming

Taylor and his report card. Can't wait til it's warm enough to swim everyday!
The back of Taylor and his teacher, Peter while they pass out report cards!
It was 50 degrees today. Can you tell how cold Taylor is, running for me and his towel?
Everyone does the hokey pokey on the last day.
Look Mom! I'm swimming!
He did so good this week, he can swim by himself, as long as he doesn't think too hard about it!
Taylor loves swimming, it's one of his favorite things in the whole entire world. You can see it in this picture. Spring break is the best time to take lessons, because they're training all the teachers for summer so each kid has their own teacher and there are like 3 or 4 kids in each class. It's a great time to get kids geared up for swim season!
Swimming with the noodle.

Ready to dive in! You'd never know how cold it's been this week. The wind has been blowing like crazy and it's even been raining (during swim lessons), but they kept the water nice and warm for the kids.

Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Bob

We had Easter dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's today, complete with an egg hunt! We had it early since Grandma's going to Uncle Blake's to help out with our new baby niece that's coming on Saturday!

Kindergarten Rules!

Taylor's class and their Easter bags ready for their egg hunt. They all had a blast at the party. They're a silly and very fun group of kids!

Now it's Spring Break! Next week, swim lessons!!!

Hair at Our House

I keep threatening to shave it, but Taylor has become very attached to his mohawk. I have to admit that it is pretty cute spiked up. We'll keep it for a little while.

This is a mild example of what happens to Lylee's hair if it isn't tamed. Now you can probably guess why she screams when I comb it.

Cousin Fun

We went over to Jacci's new house while they had their walk through today. The kids were having a blast in the big empty house. I think they're gonna cry when the furniture gets moved in!

Stories

Taylor couldn't go to sleep so I crawled in bed with him and told him about his Great Grandpa Lyle, who Lylee is named after. I told him about how I believe that he and Lylee were in Heaven with him before they came here to me. That Taylor had his blue eyes. I told him that his great grandpa was in the navy and World War II. That they gave him cigarettes and that the reason that he died before Taylor was born was because he had smoked cigarettes when he was younger and they ruined his lungs. (Taylor has been wondering about cigarettes lately). I told him how his great grandpa sold cars and that he even had a boat that was orange and white. I told him how much he would have loved him and spoiled him and that I miss him very much. Taylor loved hearing all of these things and I loved sharing them with my beautiful son.

Happy St. Paddy's Day 2010!!!

I wasn't too on top of thing this year in the green wardrobe department, but we were able to find something for each of the kids. Lylee's in Taylor's old shirt. Oh well, there's always next year to be perfect mom!

While we were out this morning, Leprechauns visited our house and left the kids treats! What sweet and sneaky little guys!!

Taylor has been excited to get his first mohawk. He's been getting all kinds of compliments since he got it!

Lylee got a haircut with Mommy on Saturday!

Snug as a Bug

Taylor's decided that he needs to wear a hat so that he is all "tucked in".

We love you so much! You are the best daddy ever and we hope that you have a terrific day!
Love,
Mommy, Taylor & Lylee

We Got Flocked!!!

The local Class of 2010 is having a fundraiser where your yard is covered with flamingos for a day. Our next door neighbor thought that Lylee would love the flamingos for her birthday. This is what we found when we got up this morning! Lylee loves them and thinks they're especially cool because she can see them from her bedroom window!

First Book for T Bone

Taylor has taken off reading. He reads everything he can. He got this book last week on library day and has been working on it every day. Tonight he read it to me all by himself! I'm so proud of him and glad that he shares my love of reading!

Playing Dress-up

Grandma Vicki found this Snow White dress a few months ago for Lylee, who in case you hadn't noticed is all about princesses. Lylee has been telling me all day that she wants to be Snow White. I remembered that we had this dress in the hall closet. She was completely thrilled and excited to be Snow White! I'll bet she tries to sleep in the dress.

Happy Birthday Princess Lylee

Lylee is so happy to be 3!
Lylee has convinced us all that she truly is Princess Lylee
Chris and Hyrum

Fun and games. We played "put Cinderella in the window". All of the kids were scared to be blindfolded, it was pretty funny.

MMMMMMM...
This is Leland, one of the two boys that Lylee tells me she's going to marry. At least we like his parents, his daddy works for UP too!

Yay presents! Lylee was so excited to have a special day just for her. The presents just made it better. It was so fun to watch my "big girl" come into her own.
