Dress Up

We're having a better day at our house. Lylee came in and told me that this is what she's going to wear when she gets married in the temple. Hope her hubby has a sense of humor!
This is apparently the princess outfit.

She's also been tinkerbell and has been trying real hard to get me to put on her new monkey swimsuit!

Playing at Grandma Annie's

The boys and Lexi played full contact football.

Love the huddles. There's some serious strategizing going on here.

They played baseball too. Like the action shot?

Elise and Lylee headed out to their "sand castle" that they made out of rocks and sticks.

It's been so nice having the kids play from dusk til dawn. They pass out as soon as we put them down. We love cousins!

Taylor looking down the whole that they put the coffin into. He's very concerned about Grandpa Jay being down there.

Apparently, Grandpa Jay was concerned too. He's in the middle of the field all by himself because he didn't want to be near any trees and those stinkin' squirrels! (Yes, this is completely true! He was a character!)

Lylee and Aunt Ashley

Grandma Cathy wanted to play some of her dad's favorite hymns and she loved being surrounded by her grandkids.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful service and a wonderful send off to a man that was loved and respected by so many people.

Cousin Fun

Lylee, Aunt Cassie, Bailee and Maddie waiting for birthday cake.
Tildy diggin' in!

Taylor, Lexi and Adam
We were lucky enough to be here for Lexi's 7th birthday. Taylor and Lexi are like two peas in a pod. We can't separate them once we get them together.

Lylee and Maddie rockin' the swing.

It's so fun to get all the kids together. I forgot to get any pics at Chelsey's yesterday. We'll all be together for the weekend though. We're so blessed that everyone is able to go out for Grandpa Jay's funeral. What a send off he's going to get!

Dinosaur Park

We finally made it to the dinosaur park.

Lazy Bones

The kids had a lot of fun, even thought Lylee was pretty terrified of most the dinosaurs. It was a good chance to get outside and stretch and play!

Lylee on Marriage

I have a very observant little girl. The other day she was laying in bed with me and Daddy watching tv. She was playing with my wedding ring (both of my kids love to do this). After Daddy got up and left Lylee gave me a lesson on marriage. She looked down at my ring and back to me.
Lylee: "This means you're married".
Mommy: "Yes Lylee, this is my wedding ring."
Lylee: "But Daddy's not married."
Mommy: "Why isn't Daddy married? He's my husband"
Lylee: "No, he doesn't have a ring. Grandpa's not married either, just Uncle Pete. He's the only boy that's married. Taylor's not old enough"
Mommy: "Lots of men don't wear their wedding rings all the time. Daddy and Grandpa both have rings. I can show you Daddy's ring."
Lylee: "Well, Grandma's married twice. She has two diamond rings."
Mommy: "No just one is a wedding ring, the other is from Great Grandpa Lyle, her daddy."
Lylee: "Well, I'm getting married when I'm 18 or 20."
Mommy: "Really? So who are you going to marry?"
Lylee: "My boyfriend!"
Mommy: "Well who is this boyfriend?"
Lylee: Shrugs, smiles and goes in the other room.

My Sweet T

Every once in a while I just like to catch a peek at one of the kids. I realized over Spring Break how much Taylor has grown over the last several months. He's getting so tall. He loves to read me stories instead or me reading to him. He's doing addition and picking up subtraction! He loves learning about animals and science, especially sharks! Most of the time he's great at helping out around the house (he is still 5). He loves his family, friends, school and church. He cherishes his Saturdays with Grandpa Bob (so does Grandpa). He still gives the best hugs ever. We're so lucky to have his sweet little spirit in our family!
