We set Lylee's bed up today while the kids were in school. Taylor's response was hilarious. He Yelled "Whoa! Mom, there's a problem! That bed is too big!" He had as much fun surprising her as we did!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Shenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was here and that I really lived."

she looks so itty bitty in that great big bed! i always think that hyrum is such a big kid, but then again he is always surrounded by things that are made for his size, right? this morning he was asleep in my bed and he looked teeny tiny too... it's good to be reminded from time to time how small and precious our little ones are.
